OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS TO GRAMMY'S HOUSE WE GO!

The treasures of my life arrived last Thursday night to pick up their dog Ohbe and to spend some time at "Grammy's." My daughter Beth, my son-in-law Dale, my 11 year old grandson Cooper, and my 7 year old grandson Ian were able to stay four days until they had to leave this morning and drive back to Massachusetts. The boys are used to long road trips and they are very good travelers. We had a busy and happy time together. The beach, the boardwalk (even I went on the bumper cars), the water park -- we did it all. The boys had just been to Disneyworld so they have had a full summer.

Being a parent is a highlight in anyone's life, but being a grandmother has to top even that. We know our lives go on through our children and hopefully, our grandchildren will remember us and treasure their moments with us as we do with them. That is why it is always so important for me to travel to visit them whenever I can, no matter how far.

I can't believe how big the boys have gotten! Dale is a hunk and Beth looks so much like you and your mother - the same smile especially.

You're such a great Grammy. I know how much you don't like flying alone but you do it to be with them. Don't you wish you could all live so much closer?

Thanks, Lynne. Flying alone doesn't bother me much anymore since I have been doing it so much. Yes - the older I get it seems everyone moves further away! Bummer!

violetlady, I have to tell you in all honesty...your family are some of the best looking people I've ever seen in my life. I thought my family was good looking, but wow! Those kids could not be any cuter.

Very nice looking family! It sounds like you had a great time while they were at your house. I don't have grands yet - but one son lives in Seattle - so there will be lots of travel in my future probably too!

kris, thank you. You will truly love being a grandmother and I can tell by your blog that they will learn so much from you.

I have one grandbaby and Emmy has a firm grip on my heart. I'd travel a long way to visit her and my daughter Jessica and SIL Jason.

Glad y'all had a good visit. :-)

As far as the prodeedings for disability, it's different for everyone and from state to state. If you have at least one doctor that will back you up and either testify verbally or by deposition you have a very good chance of getting approved pretty easily. A lawyer really would help your case too.

Good luck getting your disability, and thanks for dropping by to visit me.

Hugs,

Diane
