Isn't this the sweetest card? Jo found this for me at Graphics Fairy and sent it to me. (See the little violets?) Thank you, Jo and thank you to Graphics Fairy for sharing her beautiful collection of vintage postcards.
I have been sick for several days with the dreaded stomach flu (yuck) that seems to be going around. I finally feel better tonight. At least I should be able to eat normally tomorrow. I plan to make ham, scalloped potatoes, baked pineapple and some kind of veggie. I want some real food! I have had enough of saltines and ginger ale.
Ken and I were supposed to take a road trip on Friday to Massachusetts to spend Easter with Beth and Dale and the grandsons. I cancelled -- they don't want my germs and I certainly didn't feel up to traveling. We were going to drive so we could take the poodle with us. (Unfortunately, though, he is not a particularly good passenger.) I was so looking forward to it. Now it will just be the two of us at Easter -- well actually the six of us counting the furry, four-legged children.
Having family far away on the holidays is for the birds. I am very much a family person and here I am in Delaware with my sister and my nieces in Pennsylvania and my daughter and her little family in Massachusetts. How I envy those of you who have your family close by.
I hope each and every one of you have an Easter filled with love and promise for the new season.

The Graphic Fairy has lovely images. This Easter card is perfect.
My Easter wish for you is that you're feeling better.
Easter blessings to you and yours.
Mary
I hope you're feeling better now. No fun being sick.
I'm sorry that your plans to visit Beth had to change. It is nice having Donna right next door. But Susan, even though she's only about 30 miles away, might as well be on the moon. We have no contact with her at all. Her choice. Maybe someday that will change.
Happy Easter, dear friend.
I am so sorry to hear that the stomache bug bit you. I had my bout with it not long ago and I certainly wouldn't want a second dose of it. Enjoy your Easter Dinner. Wishing you a wonderful Blessed Easter Day.

I'm sorry your holiday plans got messed up. I hope you're feeling much better by now.
This is the sweetest postcard and just perfect for you.
I hope you are feeling much better now...sorry you had to change your get-away plan hopefully you can plan another trip soon.
Your Easter dinner does sound yummy, I hope you had a happy day. Linda
Hi - hope you're feeling better and had a nice Easter. Mark had a bug for two weekends - but felt okay during the week - total bummer!! I asked him nicely not to pass it on to me, and so far I've been okay. :)
Gosh, I haven't been here in forever. Finally looked at the 6 word memoir you tagged me for - I'll give it some thought and let you know what I come up with. Thanks for the tag. I loved your odd things meme - I talk to myself all the time too - out loud - and often wonder if my neighbors and family think I've lost it. I heard about the Free Rice from another blogger friend - that is addictive! I'm surprised at how many words I actually know - and dismayed at all I don't. So sorry to hear about Beau's allergies. Kobie seems to be doing okay on the special diet - but he thinks we're being mean because we can't share people treats anymore - poor guy.
We had a quiet Easter - but Kyle (who lives in Minneapolis) did come out to have dinner with us. It is hard not to be with family for holidays, isn't it?
I'm wondering if you're going to choose your rose bush(es?) this summer? It will be fun to see them if you do. I can't wait until stuff starts coming up in my gardens.
Glad to hear you are feeling better! I love that little chick, so sweet.
Hope your Easter was full of many blessings!
Ham and scalloped potatoes . . . yum! That's one of my favorite meals in all the world!
I hope you're feeling better by now.
Hi Tina, just stopped by to say hi.....hope all is well. Linda
