BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

I know I haven't been here for awhile. I thought I might end this blog, but now I have decided to hang on for awhile longer and see how I feel about it. I don't usually like to ramble on and on about little, mundane things in my life because (1) they are pretty boring and (2) I don't usually want to share personal things with everybody out there. I like the blogs that have a particular niche, like books or cooking or decorating, but I don't usually have enough to say in these areas, so I am left just with my opinions or problems and sometimes joys and that is where I get into the problem I have with rambling on and on and on......see what I mean?

Ok, this is the latest: my camera no longer will let me download my pictures. I went to my Aunt Grace's funeral last week and took pictures of family members I haven't seen for a long time. Now they are stuck in my camera unless I want to remove the card and take it somewhere.

Last night there was a serious fire in my real estate company's annex office (two doors down from my office). It was a total loss and today the agents in that office are relocating into our building. They have lost computers, files, everything. The smell of soot and smoke was everywhere. It was awful, but at least no one was hurt. I was asked to move my desk location from where I have been to a smaller desk in order to accomodate another agent. At first this made sense because I am not in the office a lot and although I am technically a full time agent, I really only work part time at it. But the more I thought about it, the more irritated I was because this is supposed to be a temporary move (but could be pretty long term) and why should I give my spot to someone when they could just as easily move to the smaller desk. Of course, that agent is in the office full time and is a bigger producer than I am. It all comes down to money and politics. Well, it is just one of those things over which I have zero control and I hate that.

So this is my long overdue post and as I said at the beginning, I have rambled on and on and on and complained about personal stuff which I don't like to do. But, we're all friends, right?

Always,

What a crazy week with the fire and moving around the office. I'm sorry you have to do that.

I think you should post photos of cabins over here on this blog!

You should put photos of cabins everywhere!

And what are you doing up at 11:35 pm?

That's terrible about the office fire. I'm just glad it wasn't yours and that no one was hurt.

Willow - I can tell you that Tina is definitely a night person! 11:35 is still early for her! Right???

Yes, no matter how hard I try I will never be a morning person. I like the morning, but I also like to stay up late. Can't have both. Actually, I do usually hit the hay by midnight.

I'm a night person too, though I do like mornings if I've had enough sleep to enjoy them. ;-)

That's rotten about having to move your stuff to accommodate somebody else who'll more than likely end up being there permanently, although it's supposed to be "temporary".

Hey, if you don't like ramblings about personal stuff and such, I don't know how you can stand my blog! lol ;o)

Bed is stripped and sprayed with Febreeze and now airing out for a while before I remake it with fresh sheets and a freshly washed and dried bedspread. Onwards and upwards!

Have a wonderful weekend, Kristina.

Love and hugs,

Diane

I'm so sorry that you had to move to a smaller desk just because someone else is a bigger producer. Doesn't seem fair to me, but that is usually the way things go in this dog eat dog world. Try to hang in there.

Glad you are still blogging. I enjoy visiting with you and am glad we are friends.

Blessings,
Mary

You betcha we are friends and for one like to hear about your day. I find the specific ones boring. When I come to a blog like yours I can see how you live your life, what things are the same, what different. I feel it brings us all closer to see that others have the same feelings and reactions to things.
That is a shame about the fire, hope they had things backed up. You just never know when something like this will strike.

Please don't leave!!

I understand...as time goes on it's takes more effort to think of things that are new and fresh. We are becoming friends in the meantime...and that is a good thing!
Sorry about the fire.

I love rambling. I love reading about people's lives. I'm never bored. :<)

It is the sharing of little everyday things that endear friends to one another. I have not been to visit blogs for a while, but I never find yours "boring". Sorry to hear about the fire at your office. Glad no one was hurt.
